I wasn’t even half way down the wall. This will provide an idea of just how grand this project was.

We had lost an old friend that year so I decided to make my piece a tribute to our fallen brother…
RIP Hogtown Pete.

My wife and I were about to host a summer BBQ, so with friends enroute and the back of our house looking a little sparse, I figured this would be right time to grab some cans and jam up a little organic visual flavour prior to their arrival.

Armoire paint job commissioned by Malcolm Patterson (possibly one of my coolest clients) for a Chatelaine Magazine photo shoot, published in the March 2012 issue.
I enjoy how the graphic work tends to hide the architectural elements of the actual structure.
Spray paint and paint marker.
As seen on Cityline.

A friend asked me “Where are the Dudeman skulls going?” I told him that “this was not that type of client and that there is a time and a place” …however, by the time 3:30am rolled around -the paint markers started to fly.
-
-
Open the door and it’s a bar inside!
The finished piece, once all the elements were put into place, turned out to be an exceptionally well configured scenario.
-
-
Open the drawer -this houses the wine bottles.
Oh, did you spot the added detail of the hot pink drawer lip?

Still back at my studio, prior to delivery.

I started this project by painting an internal wall on the third floor, followed by seventy feet of the same graphic for five third floor displays, then I painted twelve canvases which were on display on the main floor in the “Accessories” department as well as the two display windows down on the concourse level. Next up were the two main floor alcoves, which are located either side of the store towards the back, all the above mentioned work was done during six weeknight evenings and over two weekends. The windows, I only had one week to complete these, so I did one each night, first two were the big ones, forty feet across (either side of the front main doors, working my way across to the West, towards Bay Street.
These windows won an “Award of Merit” with the VMSD.
I was totally exhausted, yet extremely thrilled at the outcome of this project.

Kreater Custom Motorcycles 50′ x 17′ wall mural.
Summer 2010 “Beach Bash” party. Live bands, bikini contest, motorbikes, cars, burnouts, booze and booths.
Live tattoos performed by “To Fast Too Live Tattoos”
Live graffiti performed by =DUDEMAN=.
Got busy after the event and did not get back to work on this mural before the cold weather hit for winter. Mild temperatures toward the end of March 2011 rewarded me with the opportunity to complete this mural, only to find out that Kreater Custom Motorcycles is moving at the end of the month to their new location.
You can’t win them all …but you can do one hell of a job whilst you’re there.
